Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Tender beef and crisp vegetables coated in a glossy savory sauce for a fast, satisfying low-carb skillet meal.

INGREDIENTS

  • 452g Raw Beef Mince
  • 300g Broccoli
  • 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Black Bean Sauce
  • 2 tsp Garlic Paste
  • 2 tsp Ginger
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 3 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 240ml Beef Stock
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper

STEPS

    Cut 300g of broccoli into small florets. In a bowl, whisk together 4 tbsp of soy sauce, 2 tbsp of black bean sauce, 240ml of beef stock, 2 tsp of cornstarch, 1 tsp of sugar, 1 tsp of sesame oil and 0.5 tsp of black pepper until smooth.

    Place a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add 3 tbsp of cooking oil and heat until it shimmers. Add 452g of raw beef mince and stir-fry for 6 to 7 minutes, breaking it into small pieces, until browned throughout with no pink remaining.

    Add 2 tsp of garlic paste and 2 tsp of ginger to the cooked beef. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Pour in the prepared sauce, toss well, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce boils, thickens, and the broccoli is bright green and crisp-tender.

    Remove from the heat and serve immediately. Wash the wok, utensils, and any surface that touched the raw beef with hot soapy water.
