Juicy seasoned beef patties are browned until caramelized and served with a savory glaze for a bold, comforting plate.
INGREDIENTS
- 600g Beef Lean 5% Fat Cut Pieces
- 1 Egg
- 1 Onion
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Sesame Oil
- 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
- 4 tsp Cooking Oil
STEPS
- 1
Cut 600g of beef lean 5% fat cut pieces into small pieces, then pulse in a food processor until coarsely minced. Do not purée it.
⏱ 2 min
- 2
Finely grate 1 onion and squeeze out excess liquid. Mix the beef, onion, 4 cloves of garlic (minced), 4 tbsp of soy sauce, 2 tsp of sugar, 2 tsp of sesame oil, 0.5 tsp of black pepper, and 1 egg (beaten) in a bowl until sticky and evenly combined.
⏱ 3 min
- 3
Cover the mixture and chill for 10 minutes so it firms up. Shape it into four evenly sized patties about 1.5 cm thick, wetting your hands slightly to prevent sticking.
⏱ 10 min
- 4
Heat 4 tsp of cooking oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add the patties and pan-fry for 6 to 7 minutes per side, turning once, until browned outside and no pink remains in the center. If they brown too quickly, reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking.
⏱ 6 min
- 5
Check the thickest patty with a thermometer if available, then transfer the patties to a clean plate and rest for 3 minutes before serving.
